April 2013 Tag

Slightly modified.

To me this was a study of dragonflies
so would be neat if a real dragonfly landed on it.
I added the gears stamp
and used one of Tim's
metal numbers.

Ignore the tag in the back,
I've got to collage it up some how
because I broke an important rule
in stamping:
I did not stamp on a flat surface.  Eeek! :)

For the wings,
I stamped it on the clear packaging for
the new Tim Holtz picture wheel die I just got.
It worked really well.

Twill ribbon was used which I
tried to distress with paint and ink.
Will have to pick up some of that
krinkle ribbon next time at Michaels.

Thanks for looking!

My first WOYWW

I've been a fan (lurker :)   of the Stamping Ground's "What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday" for quite a while and I love seeing other crafter's and artist's work spaces.  This is my first share and so I thank you for stopping by.

It almost took a whole month but I finally gathered up most of the distress paint supplies. So today I was determined to get started trying out the patina look from the Tim Holtz April 2013 tag. I love the way these new metallic distress paints react with water. With luck, I hope to finish this tag within what's left of this month.  LOL :)
